So WT released their version of ground forces in early december. It is still in a closed beta mode, but the open beta should be released soon. Here is video demonstrating the Kv-1 in the ground forces battle. To me, It looks good.

Definitely nice graphics, though I wonder if it's gonna hit the user hard in the GFX card area. I'm sure it's able to be scaled back a bit, too. I like the fact that they had the 'bullet drop indicator' that he said was likely to be removed, though I have not played nor do I have any immediate intention of playing, so maybe it has issues I'm not aware of.

Good post Spiff.

So here are a bunch of pictures of the tanks, tank destroyers, and AA vehicles that are currently in War Thunder.

So as of April 15, 2014, War thunder has officially made the ground forces available to anyone who has downloaded the game. Personally, I love this version of tank a lot more than world of tanks, it is far less arcadey. You can die from one shot, but this is offset by allowing you to take more than one tank into battle. The physics are a lot better, for instance you can do power slides XD.

The arcade mode is still faster paced. It seems people are a lot more aggressive, probably due to the ability to use more than on tank. You still have to account for bullet drop in this mode, but there is a handy indicator so you don't have to calcite it by yourself.

The realistic mode mode is pretty great. you can pick one tank (you get 3 chances with a light tank, 2 chances with a medium tank, and one chance with a heavy tank). You do not get a bullet drop indicator so you have to account for that.

Overall the game is great, and i recommend that you all try it for a bit

Ummm... WoT fixed the physics, you know, so 15-100+ ton tracked vehicles DO NOT powerslide... I did enjoy the pre-nerf T50 but realism seems "less arcadey" to me...

At any rate I still only have the time for one video addiction, and I have more than enough time, money, and effort into WoT to make it more than a viable option to continue towards those goals.

Good luck with this game if you guys are into it. More power to you.
